Experience Peter Vilmos graduated from law school in 1990. A member of the Florida, New York and Illinois Bar associations, Mr. Vilmos has practiced law in Chicago, New York City, and in Orlando. Mr. Vilmos’ practice involves complex commercial litigation with issues ranging from business and banking disputes to environmental, construction, health care, employment and real estate issues. Mr. Vilmos’ responsibilities include acting as Florida counsel to a national hardware store collective, as well as Florida counsel to several general contractors and an array of sub-contractors. Mr. Vilmos’ courtroom experience involves multi-week jury trials in state and federal courts and in appeals, with matters as diverse derivative shareholder class action lawsuits, eminent domain, employment litigation, and federal tax disputes. Mr. Vilmos has lectured at numerous Continuing Legal Education seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar for the benefit of lawyers and the general business public. Mr. Vilmos is licensed to practice in federal and state courts in Florida, the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a certified Circuit Court Mediator, and a Board Certified Construction attorney. Mr. Vilmos has also appeared pro haec vice in the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York. In addition to his private practice, Mr. Vilmos volunteers as a pro bono guardian ad litem, and teaches math to eighth graders through Junior Achievement.
